A LOVELORN pensioner took his very own life after failing inside the battle to create their 25-year-old Filipino bride to Calderdale.
Philip Chadwick, 66, of Sackville Street, Todmorden, had been driven to despair following the girl, who he reported had been an intercourse worker in Cyprus, ended up being struggling to get yourself a visa to come quickly to Britain.
That, with the loss of their mom, plunged Mr Chadwick into despair. And a thirty days after their mom’s funeral, he committed committing suicide by walking to the songs at dobroyd crossing, todmorden, at the midnight train to manchester.
The father-of-two – a known user of Todmorden Conservative Club – died instantly.
In a declaration read to yesterday’s inquest, their son, Graham, 41, stated Mr Chadwick had been a Jack the Lad whom made numerous international trips before fulfilling their future bride in February 2007 while on vacation in Paphos, Cyprus.
He said: “My dad stated she and an other woman, a Russian, had been being employed as sex slaves who have been held at gunpoint. He had been concerned and desired to have her away from there.”
He included: “we suppose she had been sort of Thai bride.”
The lady, Rose-marie Negros Chadwick, ultimately caused it to be to Manila when you look at the Philippines and Mr Chadwick travelled off to see her many times before marrying her on their birthday celebration final December.
